Mercy Ministry

The Opportunity

Caring for those in need particularly in the areas of food, rent, utilities, clothing and other life changing/saving financial needs, i.e. medicines, home, auto repairs, etc.

Methods of Ministry Delivery

Storehouse Ministries
Partnering with Storehouse Ministries of the Noonday Association for:
  • Food relief
  • Counseling services
  • Rent and utility relief
C.A.M.P. Ministry of Austell
Partner with C.A.M.P. to provide:
  • Clothing relief

OHBC

  • Maintain a small food closet for emergency needs, or to tide over until Storehouse clears the individual for the larger food pickup.
  • Financial and food provision via the OHBC Benevolence committee for the OHBC Church Body.

Spiritual Gifts

Spiritual Gifts needed could be one could be a combination of:
  • Serving
  • Encouragement
  • Discernment
  • Mercy
  • Hospitality

Volunteers

Volunteers can get involved in several ways:
  • Ministry Fair
  • Small group projects/participation
  • Volunteer to work at Storehouse and/or C.A.M.P. Ministries (Can be as little as an hourly commitment or long term.
  • Church (Body) involvement through invitations for food drives, clothing drives and financial assistance by giving.

  • Periodic awareness campaigns
  • Monthly Ministry team meetings
