Who We Are

Breakfree Ministry is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) nondenominational outreach ministry to Georgia’s “at-risk” youth.  This Christ-centered program offers hope, counseling, compassion and mentoring to troubled teens and their families.

What We Do

  1. We provide chaplains to youth detention centers in Paulding County, Marietta and Rome.
  2. We have weekly Bible studies where volunteers meet in small groups with the inmates and teach a series of prepared basic gospel lessons.
  3. Church services are held every Saturday night which include a time of preaching, singing and prayer.
  4. Working with the court system and the parents, a mentoring program has been set up for the judges to use as an alternative to sentenced jail time as well as for kids coming out of the YDC.  A mentor is matched with the youth for a six-week period during which time they are able to meet together to deal with such issues as forgiveness and self-esteem.
  5. Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners are held for both the youth and the guards at the facilities.

How You Can Help

  1. Partner with us through prayer and financial donations.
  2. Come on Monday nights for Bible study at Paulding Youth Detention Center in Dallas.  We meet at 7:00 pm for prayer and praise time after which we go back with the kids for one-on-one Bible study.  There are 75 to 120 boys and girls ages 10 to 18 at this facility.  We could use at least 10 or more volunteers each week.
  3. Attend church services held weekly on Saturday evenings at 6-:00 pm.  Various bands and guest speakers are brought in and there is always a need for people to pray with the youth afterwards.  Here again, 10 or more people could be used.
  4. Volunteer to be a mentor.  All necessary training is provided by the ministry.  Through this program men and women can sow into a child’s life to lead him or her to Christ, to encourage accountability, to support them in the choice of continuing education as well as help them learn to deal with various other issues.

What You Need

  1. An open heart to love
  2. Open arms to hug
  3. An open life to allow God to use you to pour His love into a child’s life
